as a concerned cancerian, i am glad somebody is willing to admit it. i leave my sub conscious do the heavy lifting. "this is the general shape". making a list before starting is probably the extent of my preparation. if i can copy what's gone before without understanding it, all the better.

very often i notice myself and colleagues making up nonsense explanations for why c++ behaves the way it does without any real basis other than intuition and truthiness.
