Generally top-end luxury cars like the S-Class have horrible residual values, so I can't imagine anyone actually letting Tesla take the car back -- private buyers would probably always pay more. I don't think the Model S is going to depreciate much, unless there is some huge change in technology or some huge flaw discovered in the Model S.
I think the Tesla's value is more likely to follow a 911 Turbo or another sports car like that vs. a luxury car.
Being able to refinance at 36months with a 5 year used car loan at ~5% would be pretty nice, though.
